Prairie Cloutier has been practicing law since 2009, focusing exclusively on criminal defense. Prairie has over a decade of experience defending criminal matters including both misdemeanor and felony cases. Prairie has trained under and worked closely with owner and lead attorney Lance Fryrear since 2011. In that time, she has successfully defended countless cases including, but not limited to, DUIs, Domestic Violence, Drug, Fish and Wildlife, and Theft cases, earning her the position of Managing Senior Attorney.
Prairie has attended advanced trial training through the Trial Lawyer’s College throughout the United States. She has completed numerous regional trainings with the college and two at the Thunderhead Ranch outside of Dubois Wyoming: the 8-day Defense of the Damned intensive training focusing on major felony and capital criminal defense in 2018 and the 3-week Trial Lawyer’s College itself in 2019. Prairie has also completed training for DUI Detection and standardized field sobriety testing which is invaluable in DUI defense.
Prairie has a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science and minors in History and Communication from the University of Washington and a Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law. She spent two years in public defense before joining the Law Offices of Lance Fryrear. She has always had a great interest in helping people through the difficulties and stresses of the criminal process and is an aggressive advocate during what can be one of the worst times in a person’s life.
Prairie grew up in Kitsap County, Washington, and enjoys anything in the outdoors – especially if it includes her family and lab-mix Lucy. She enjoys mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, and running.
